Hi, I'm Nikki — the heart behind Kaunis.

I'm a lifelong jewelry lover, a permanent jewelry and ear piercing studio owner in Parker, Colorado, and someone who truly believes in the power of beautiful, meaningful accessories. I created Kaunis to meet a need I saw again and again in my own studio: high-quality, hypoallergenic earrings that are safe for sensitive ears and designed to sell.

But this brand is more than just a solution — it’s a celebration of my story.

A Brand Rooted in Heritage

The name Kaunis means beautiful in Finnish — and it’s pronounced KOW-nis, with the first syllable rhyming with “wow.”

It's the perfect reflection of both the product and my roots.

Kaunis brings together the two cultures that shaped me: my Panamanian heritage through my mom (where getting your ears pierced is a rite of passage and earrings are a way of life), and my Finnish roots from my dad (where quality and simplicity are deeply valued).
